The two biggest assets most people own are their house and their pension.

It’s important to make sure you have your fair share of both when you get divorced.

For those who are not particularly financially savvy, it can be daunting to understand where to start when it comes to pensions: what do I need to know? how do I find it out?  what is fair?  what do I need?

For others who are more aware of their money, other questions can arise about how to divide up the assets, and whether there is a way they can divorce fairly without diluting their pension or complexities around their particular pension pots.

We are delighted to welcome Katie Nutting, a chartered financial planner at Schroders Personal Wealth, who will join us to talk about this important and misunderstood asset and answer your questions.

Katie is an associate member of Resolution, specialising in financial planning for individuals who are going through the divorce process. She works with solicitors, mediators and divorce coaches to ensure assets are split in the most appropriate way, taking into account an individuals financial position and future plans.
